• Travel for surgery, specialist appointments, or diagnostic imaging

• Other short term expenses directly related to pneumothorax treatment or recovery

Assistance is considered only after all other funding options have been explored. Funding availability varies based on donor contributions and community resources.

• A spontaneous pneumothorax (primary or secondary)

• Complications requiring chest tube management or surgery

• Postoperative needs following VATS or pleurodesis

• Significant financial hardship due to lung related medical care

Eligibility is assessed on a case by case basis. Due to the nature of the fund and limited resources, priority is given to individuals facing urgent or time sensitive  situations.
